Rugged, compact stirrers with an ergonomic design are ideal for educational labs and can stir up to 1000 mL of water. The durable 5x5" cast aluminum top plate is resistant to chipping and cracking. The Auto Stirrers are designed for applications that require repeatable results. These compact, powerful stirrers automatically start when a vessel is placed on the aluminum top plate (minimum weight of approximately 50 grams [1.75 oz.]). When the vessel is removed, the stirring stops, but the speed setting remains unchanged. The units save power and provide an extra measure of safety by running only when needed. An optional support plate allows the stirrer to be mounted to lab frames or ring stands. The powerful motor and magnet deliver reliable and consistent stirring. The built-in support rod holder with a locking knob accepts an optional support rod and clamp kit, which includes a 45.7 cm (18”) support rod, thermometer extension clamp, three-prong medium swivel clamp, and hook connector.
