Copper Strip Corrosion Test BombConforms to range of standardsPrecision-machined stainless steel bomb inserts in copper corrosion bath for testing aviation fuels and natural gasoline. Bomb withstands test pressure of 100 psi (689 kPa) per specifications. Threaded cap with O-ring gasket and knurled circumference hand tightens to a positive seal. A 1/8” groove in the bomb threads permit safe, gradual release of pressure when opening the bomb. Device conforms to specifications of ASTM D130, D6074, D6158, IP 154, ISO 2160, DIN 51759, FTM 791-5325 and NF M 07-015. Shipping weight is 2 lbs.Unit tests the corrosiveness of aviation test fuels towards silver. A polished silver strip is immersed in a fuel sample at an elevated temperature. After a specified test period, the strip is removed from the sample, washed and evaluated for corrosion.The fully insulated, thermostatically controlled water bath features a constant water level device. The bath is used in conjunction with the Batch Conversion Kit to immerse six 350 mL test tubes for silver strip corrosion tests. Bath features stainless steel, double-wall construction.
