The Rat Neural Stem Cell Expansion Medium is provided as a two-component system that is convenient and easy to use. This product includes the Neural Stem Cell Basal Medium, a defined serum-free medium that has been optimized for the growth and in vitro differentiation of neural stem cells derived from rodents. A solution of basic FGF-2 growth factor is also provided separately, which when added to the Neural Stem Cell Basal Medium allows for the growth and proliferation of rat neural stem cells.
