This VWR Specific Gravity Hydrometer Set consists of eight DURAC Specific Gravity/Relative Density (g/cm³) Plain Form Hydrometers for measuring the specific gravity of heavy and light liquids in various ranges from 0.700 to 2.000. They are commonly used in industries such as food and beverage, chemical, pharmacology, transportation, refrigeration, and more. The set also includes one general-purpose liquid-in-glass thermometer to reference liquid temperature for accurate hydrometer readings. The hydrometers are 300 mm (12”) long and made with lead-free ballast and glass. Temperature standardization is at 60 °F (15 °C). The thermometer is 300 mm (12”) long and made of lead-free glass, containing standard mercury-free blue organic liquid fill against a lead-free white back glass. All units are individually serialized and hand inspected by our U.S. quality team. Plain form hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and not subjected to extreme temperatures. The set is packaged in a deluxe storage case with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. All services will be performed by an ISO17025 certified lab. Recalibration, certification, and shipping fees are all included in the catalog number cost. Simply order the stated catalog number based on how many calibration points are desired. You will receive a protective box to ship your instrument to Avantor's certified calibration laboratory along with a work order form to specify your calibration points and prepaid return shipping label. Upon receipt at the laboratory, your instrument will be inspected for any defects under a microscope, and its performance will be compared to certified standards. Corrections will be made to one-tenth of the smallest division recorded on your signed calibration report. Your calibration report and instrument will be carefully repacked and returned to you with prepaid standard ground shipping. Expedited service options are available upon request.
