Used in the food and beverage industries, as well as other industries, these plain form hydrometers measure percentage sucrose by weight and are available in various ranges from 0° to 71° Brix. They feature lead-free ballast and glass construction, individual serialization, and temperature standardization at 20 °C. Each hydrometer is hand-inspected by our U.S. quality team.
Caution: Hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
Packaging: Our hydrometers are packaged with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST.
Services: VWR | CATALYST™ provides convenient and efficient re-calibration services for your hydrometers with an industry-leading 5-day average turn-around time from receipt of your instrument. All services will be performed by an ISO17025 certified lab. Recalibration, certification, and shipping fees are all included in the catalog number cost. Simply order the stated catalog number based on how many calibration points are desired. You will receive a protective box to ship your instrument to Avantor's certified calibration laboratory along with a work order form to specify your calibration points and prepaid return shipping label. Upon receipt at the laboratory, your instrument will be inspected for any defects under a microscope, and the performance of your instrument will be compared to certified standards and corrections to one-tenth of the smallest division recorded on your signed calibration report. Your calibration report and instrument are carefully repacked returned to you with prepaid standard ground shipping. We also provide expedited service options available upon request.
