The current required for movement is approximately 3 amps. The apparatus is fitted with 4mm sockets. It is designed to demonstrate the action of a magnetic field on a free-moving, current-carrying conductor placed onto current elements. Calculations can be done resulting from the displacement of the conductor due to electromagnetic force, following the equation: W = B.I.I.D = If. The apparatus measures 11.75 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 2 inches tall. The carrying conductor pieces measure 3 inches long and 0.25 inches in diameter.
