Pycnometer with a 25ml capacity, offering a precise method for density determination. Designed for use with a working liquid of well-known density, such as water, to find the ratio of mass to volume (density). This specific gravity bottle is calibrated at 20°C and calibrated by means of weighing contained purified water. It includes a perforated stopper and features a flat bottom for spill prevention. Made from high-quality Borosilicate 3.3 glass, built to last and withstand multiple uses. The pycnometer measures 1.5" wide, 2.25" tall without the stopper, and 3.75" tall with the stopper. It is autoclavable, with superior chemical durability, and can withstand high temperatures and thermal shocks due to its low temperature gradient. Eisco Labs Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: strain point -515°C, annealing point 565°C, and softening point 820°C.
