Wound with heavily oxidized constantan wire on a vitreous enamel-coated steel tube, this rheostat features a robust design. The tube is supported by sturdy die-cast end stands, and the heavy-duty sliding contact is made of phosphor bronze with a nickel plating for corrosion resistance. Fitted with 4mm terminal posts, the rheostat facilitates external connections via conventional 4mm plugs. With a resistance of 1325 ohms and a maximum current of 0.5 amps, this device measures 13 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 4 inches tall.
