Details

This rheostat features a standard design with a resistance of 4.5 ohms and a maximum current of 9 A. The wire is wound from heavily oxidized constantan (a copper-nickel alloy) on a vitreous enameled steel tube, which is supported by die-cast ends. A heavy-duty sliding contact made of phosphor bronze and nickel-plated for corrosion resistance ensures reliable operation. The rheostat is equipped with 2.4 mm terminal posts, designed to facilitate external connections using conventional 4 mm plugs.
