It improves assay performance by elevating the pH for optimal activity of the phosphatase enzyme prior to addition of substrate. Intended for use with Phosphatase Wash Solution and CDP-Star chemiluminescent substrate in procedures such as Western, Southern, Northern, and dot blotting.
