This direct vision spectroscope features a sturdy housing, making it ideal for student use. It boasts a very bright 600 lines/mm holographic replica, providing excellent resolution. The dominant wavelengths' bright bands are clearly visible against the printed scale in English on the metal case, which measures 7" x 4.75"x 1.125". Included are plastic vials with a mount onto the spectroscope. This instrument is designed to allow users to view a split spectrum of light decomposed by an optical system. The superimposed spectra obtained on the graduated scale enable measurement of the main lengths of lines in wave spectral lamps.
