VWR FID Gas Stations are designed to provide fuel gas and support air to flame ionization detectors, flame photometric detectors, and total hydrocarbon analyzers. These stations provide both ultra-high-purity (UHP) zero air at purity levels below 0.05 ppm total hydrocarbon content and hydrogen gas at purity levels above 99.9995% in one enclosure. Zero air is produced by purifying on-site compressed air, while pure hydrogen gas is generated through the electrolytic dissociation of water before passing through a desiccant cartridge.
