The display case is made of high-impact, chemical-resistant ABS plastic.
For thermometers 89094-746 and 89094-748, each sensor probe is sealed in a bottle filled with GRAS nontoxic glycol. The solution insulates the sensor from rapid temperature changes, such as when refrigerator doors are opened. Bottle dimensions: 2.5 x 6.4 cm (1 x 2 | 1/2).
