Operation is simple - turn on, point at a sample, and take a reading in less than a second. The IR thermometer features circle dot lasers that indicate the outer diameter of the surface area being measured for optimal measurements.
The dual display shows the current temperature plus one of the following eight modes: emissivity value, maximum memory, minimum memory, differential, average (time weighted), high-temperature alarm, low-temperature alarm, and probe temperature. The minimum and maximum feature permits viewing the highest and lowest readings at any time. The thermometer displays the average of all readings made while taking measurements and the difference between two readings. Audible, user-settable high and low alarms signal out-of-range conditions. The display backlight permits viewing in low-light conditions.
For measurement of different types of material, adjustable emissivity may be set from 0.1 to 1.00 in increments of 0.01. The range using the Type-K thermocouple jack is -64 to 1400°C and -83 to 2552°F.
The field of view is 12:1 (at a distance of 24 inches, the reading spot size is 2 inches). The unit reads both Fahrenheit and Celsius of any surface - solids, semisolids, and liquids. Non-invasive measurements are ideal for food, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, clean rooms, electronics, and field use.
The temperature range is -60 to 550°C and -76 to 1022°F. The resolution is 0.1°. Accuracy is ±2% of the reading or 2°C, whichever is greater.
Key features include a 12:1 field of view, user-settable alarms, a dual display that shows multiple values, and adjustable emissivity.
To ensure accuracy, an individually serial-numbered Traceable Certificate is provided from an ISO 17025 calibrated laboratory accredited by A2LA. It indicates traceability to NIST.
The thermometer is supplied with a Type-K beaded temperature sensor, batteries, and a Traceable Certificate.
