Precision thermometers are made with permanently fused markings and fractional degrees to provide precision and ensure accuracy. They are tested and calibrated in an exclusive triple-accredited/registered ISO/IEC 17025:2005, A2LA accredited laboratory against equipment whose calibration is traceable to NIST.
These mercury-free thermometers contain blue organic liquid against a lead-free white back glass, making them ideal for use in chemical laboratories, universities, scientific institutions, food and beverage processing, petrochemical laboratories, pharmaceutical/medical industry, manufacturing, dairies, breweries, and distilleries. They are tested and inspected by our USA quality team.
Each thermometer is individually serialized and comes with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy and Traceability.
VWR | CATALYST™ offers convenient and efficient re-calibration services for your liquid-in-glass thermometers with an industry-leading 5-day average turnaround time from receipt of your instrument. Simply order the stated catalog number based on how many calibration points are desired. You will receive a protective box to ship your instrument to Avantor's certified calibration laboratory, along with a work order form to specify your calibration points (0 to 100°C or 32 to 212°F) and a prepaid return shipping label.
Upon receipt at the laboratory, your instrument will be inspected for any defects under a microscope, and its performance will be compared to certified standards. Corrections will be made to one-tenth of the smallest division recorded on your signed calibration report. Your calibration report and instrument are carefully repacked and returned to you prepaid.
