Accurately monitor temperatures in freezers, water baths, heating blocks, incubators, and refrigerators with this enclosed temperature-buffered sensor. The bottle insulates the sensor from rapid temperature changes when a refrigerator door is opened. The triple display simultaneously shows high, low, and current temperatures. Min/max monitors high/low readings overnight, on weekends, or for any time period—a significant advantage over current reading-only glass thermometers. The range is -58 to 158°F and -50 to 70°C with a resolution of 1° and accuracy of ±1°C. The alarm feature provides an alert when the temperature rises above or falls below a set point. The alarm is programmable in 1° increments, and visual and audible signals continue even if the temperature returns to a non-alarm range. The ten-foot micro-cable permits refrigerator doors to close on it. The solid-state probe eliminates mercury contamination in refrigerators. The probe is sealed in a miniature bottle (1 x 2-1/2 inches) filled with nontoxic glycol, which is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). This eliminates concerns about contact with food or drinking water.
